Merry Christmas from The Hissongs:)
Happy Holidays to all. Both our kids are sick and Olivia just went back to the doctor today and got put on amoxocillian(sp?). Poor kid. Evalyn is feeling so much better because she has been inside all week and has been on meds for a week now.
Two days until Christmas and we are over joyed to have Tommy home for the holidays this year. Evalyn is going to be so excited to put out a treat OUT for Santa and the reindeer tomorrow night:) The weather is amazing. 60 degrees and higher! I wouldn't mind a little snow though for Christmas day ONLY.. he he he
We will also celebrate New Years with Tommy home as well! Jan 1st is soon approaching .Where did the year go!? Olivia is already 4 months old and Evalyn is almost 3 this April. Potty training is on the agenda in the next couple of months and also transitioning her into a toddler bed. Wish us luck!

What I've been Munchin on
The famous PB toast is my fav every morning lately with a banana and skim milk.
Raisins are soo tasty too! and lots of water:)
Old fashioned oats with blueberries and raisins are delicious too for a breakfast.
Lunch has been tuna fish on ww bread with 5 doritos and maybe a lil chunk of cheese
Snacking all day is my huge downfall. When the kids go to bed or nap I want to eat.
I love the MOJO CLIF bars:) YUm Mountain mix is amazing
kashi cereal! ooo boy do i love it! AND ITS SOOO GOOD FOR U:)

Dear grocery store...
Why o WHy do you have to be so expensive. I go into Walmart last night, and spend $160 on "healthy foods" and almost die when I am about to pay. All the junk foods are so stinking cheap, it is no wonder people are so unhealthy. I am not saying having a piece of cake or candy every once in awhile is a bad thing but it amazed me at all the processed food in the store that people buy because of being convenient or because of price. It made me rather disgusted to look at a container of cookies and see over 25 ingredients. Just remember, that food sits on the shelves for MONTHS, not only days. We should be eating fruits and veggies as much as possible. Frozen pizza, whoever thought this was a good idea? Why does the FDA allow it? Obesity rate is at its highest and yet, they let the food thats BAD for us, in the stores so we can buy and get fatter. DISGUSTING!~ I am no longer going to sit around letting my life waste away because of garbage foods.
I was at the store a couple times around the 1st of the month, and watched people load up on garbage. I didn't see one fruit or veggie in a couple of carts, just frozen meals and boxed dinners. Whatever happened to making a meal? ( Not saying I havent ever just made oatmeal for dinner before ..old fashioned oats). I know it is going to cost us a bit more to eat healthier but in the end it's what will keep us healthier and also fulfilled. I am by no means Mrs Betty Crocker, but I am much more into making our meals instead of stopping in at a Mcdonalds. I know I am not the only one feeling this way.. It would be nice if the government would just make us pay less for wonderful healthy foods!

The Joys of "Dieting"
Let me first say that I have never ever been skinny!
I ate what I wanted when i wanted in high school and after
and I am now paying for it. I know I know, Ive had 2 kids. However
that still doesn't mean I can be 50 pounds over weight.
This blog is all about being honest, blunt and excited!
Im sick of going strong for a week, then seeing candy and wanting
the WHOLE BAG! And those 8 pk reese cup packs, well
we wont even go there! I know I need to lose weight not only for me , but
for my kids. I dont want to be a 30 year old overweigh hunk of junk who can't
even run around with me kids. I will never let myself get that bad. I need
a junk food intervention . I've got some "crap food" in the house but have
decided to overlook it and move onto something more healthy. Working out is
a BUST sometimes because Im lazy and watching tv is so much easier then gettin
ready for the gym and working out.
NO MORE! I AM DONE BEING A COUCH POTATO.
(however , not saying I won't ever watch tv, because I am sure I would go absolulely INSANE)!
Here's to putting out a goal! 50lbs!

So much to say but so little space:)- I am a mother of two very wonderful girls and a wife to an amazing man named Tommy. We move all over the big United States because we live the military life. Being a Coast Guard spouse is truly fun and exciting. We are so blessed to move around and see new things every 3-4 years.
I love making cards, scrapbooking, taking pictures, playing with our girls, meeting new people, seeing new things, swimming, walking, working out ( just getting back into it) and just smiling. I love to make people happy and enjoy a nice big cup of hot cocoa with many marshmallows:) I enjoy Lake Michigan way to much. So glad that when we get to move it always is by water!! I enjoy a good cider beer and dancing! I love the internet( how cool is it to just type in anything and BAM there is it right at your fingertips) and I also love the color PINK!
In life there is no way of knowing what will happen next. Go day by day with a smile , knowing God put you here for a reason. I always try to see the positive in life. Nothing fun about being a debbie downer everyday. Live life to the fullest. Hug, Smile, Love and be happy:)
I am on this weight loss jounrey. I am sick of saying “I can do this” and then give up after 12 days. Get’s old real fast! I will write my accomplishments, workouts, and foods I have eaten to not only keep me accountable but to also help others on a fun weight loss journey!!
I will post on life, kids, family and many fun things we do. Hope everyone enjoys a sneak peak into my world.
